How To Install Bosch Icon Oe Wiper Blades

I purchased some new blades using the Bosch Icon OE blades every bit they were readily available. I had difficulty using the Bosch mounting hardware that came with the blades. Close, but not quite right. I concluded up prying off my sometime hardware and installing on new blade. Anyone using the Bosche Icon OE blades and is that what you did or am I non agreement something.

Yes, the Bosch OE work just fine on our cars. That'due south what I replaced mine with a couple of months agone. I'm not domicile now but I think that I had to either put on another adapter for the Bosch or have 1 off in order for it to fit. After doing so, information technology worked perfectly.

I picked upwards a pair of 26/18OE Bosch Icon's off Amazon and couldn't become it to fit, merely like yous said, it was close. I ended upwardly just returning them...

Now Amazon has updated their note to say ONLY Employ ICON CLEARMAX 365 for 2022 Golf.

I've been too lazy to notice the right one then I ended up merely using my old wipers. They're all the same decent and it hasn't rained as much recently lol.

The Bosch website shows both Icon and Aerotwin as working for the MK7 GTI, but for the Icon they have "installation instruction: Only use ICON clearmax 365". Clearmax is a Bosch rubber treatment per website. Even so, it could be referring to the Clear Advantage line of wipers that includes adapters. The Icon does non take adapters, nor does the Specialty OE Aerotwin every bit that one does not need every bit it really fits. Aerotwin is the one, Clear Reward may piece of work (someone reported it didn't), Icon no unless you swap over adapter. Clear as mud... just I just need to remember Aerotwin at next change. Thought I had to become the Bosch Aerotwins imported since they weren't available in the US.

Looks like I'll be picking upwards #3397007863 since information technology looks to be the Aerotwins. I was getting frustrated with the Bosch Icon/Clearmax as well and was debating if I should merely go back to Trico Force

I thought the OE wiper blades are Valeo? Where does Bosch get off calling theirs "OE" if they're not an bodily OE supplier? Possibly in some other market.

I but went through this with Amazon. Had to return them. You have to make sure the packaging says Clearmax 365 on it. And then it volition accept the right narrow adapter for our cars. I concluded up having to pay a lot more at a local parts store for them. Proficient news is, they piece of work fantastically.
